Yay beersmith 2 is here.
But, woah, that Mac interface is gonna keep me dual-booting into Windows for a long time coming.
Not trying to be a picky mac-user, but the beauty of the OS is it’s visual congruity and OS-level expectations. This meets none of those (cmd-w doesn’t close windows for example).
But hey – that’s why I still have Windows installed. Solely to use beersmith. Might as well keep it around.

And sadly nothing for Linux usres… I could help you rewrite it in Java if you like 😉

Actually the development platform I used does allow for a Linux port – I’m hoping to work on it later this summer.

I’m using yeast nutrient when I make a sterter, as I’m sure a lot of people do, but I can’t seem to figure out how to add it in the yeast-starter Tab. Help??
Hi,
I don’t have separate support for yeast nutrients, and in general they do not enhance growth much if you already have a proper all-malt starter. Yeast nutrients are most useful if you have a batch of beer that is nutrient poor (such as one using a lot of adjuncts).

I had problems after upgrading some site software yesterday. I put in some fixes minutes ago and I believe it is up and running again now. Let me know if you have continued problems. — Brad
