When marking my kettle volumes so that I can see how much pre-boil wort I have should I do this with cold or mash temp water?
Any help would really be appreciated.

When calibrating anything for brewing, it should be done at the temperature you'll measure it. So, kettle volumes should be hot, near 200F+

i thought that it should be measured that way, now I know for sure. Thanks brewfun that's one less thing to wonder about.
I just purchased BeerSmith so maybe this will get a lot less complicated.
