How does the "replace" button work in the BS2 cloud screen

Every time I try it it doesn't replace, but adds a new recipe to the cloud.

What is the sequence of steps required to use it properly?

Hi,
  Its really intended for existing recipes that are rated that you want to replace with another recipe without affecting the ratings on an existing recipe.  It replaced the existing recipe with another but retains the ratings and comments.

  Since it replaces one recipe with another in the same directory it is likely leaving two copies after the replace.

  Honestly unless you have a recipe with comments or ratings, you don't really need to use this feature.
