I have noticed that everything I brew with wyeast 2112 has a nutty flavor to it. I have 2 lagers at the moment, using completely different grains (1 pislner and rice and the other 2-row and corn) - both exhibit the same flavor. Is this an attribute of the 2112 / the way I am using it ?
By the way, in same brews the nutty flavor is extremely appropriate. I am not trying to get rid of it, just want to understand it so its more of a tool in my belt than a nice accident.
