Blueberries

I want to try out a blueberry mead, but I'm not sure how to add blueberries as an ingredient in Beersmith.  Should I add as Grain/Extract, or Misc?  Also, how can I find out what the SRM, Potential Yield and other Properties are for blueberries?

Thanks in advance!

go to the BeerSmith Extensions and download the "Fruits"

Fruits are fermentables, though they generally contribute only a little to gravity of the beer or mead.  The fruits were derived from average yields of commercial crops so they should but you in the ball park.  If you measure the sugar content with a refractometer you can be more precise.  I didn't add color information because no one has any data on that and in some fruits it varies widely
