Transferring Brewhouse Profile??
« on: September 11, 2014, 09:41:01 AM »
I have built a Brewhouse profile on my desktop, and want to transfer it to a laptop for use in the brewery, is there an easy way to do that.....like exporting a recipe??

I think the equipment profile is actually attached to an exported recipe.

You might try this and see if it works.
1.  On desktop click on Profile, Equipment to display profiles.
2.  Highlight the profile you want to work with, right click mouse and choose "Export selected file" of type BSMX.
3.  Save it to a USB thumbdrive and call it anything you want.
4.  Install Beersmith on your laptop.
5.  Open Beersmith on laptop and click on File, Open File.
6.  Choose the filename from the thumbdrive and click OK.
7.  Beersmith will open a new equipment window with the name of your file.
8.  Click on Profile, Equipment on the laptop to display laptop profiles.
9.  In an empty area of the profile list right click the mouse and select "Paste".
10. The new profile should be there.  I don't have a laptop but this worked to add another profile on my desktop.
Hope this works and helps.
