Adding a Misc Item Type

Can not figure out how too add a new Misc Item Type such as "Sugar"
Have searched for the answer.

Sugar would be more of a "grain" type. In fact I think there are some sugars listed there.

Click Ingredients/Miscellanous/ then there should be a Add Misc button showing along the top if you have all the menu bars displayed.
 
I want to add a new "TYPE" such as "SUGAR".

Not and ingredient, but a "TYPE" of ingredient.
 
If you enter an ingredient in the 'grain' section, one of the selectable 'types' in the pull down menu is 'sugar'.  Since sugars are fermentable, this is where they are listed.  You can always choose to mark it as 'not fermentable' when you fill out the entry figures for your sugar.
