When I use BS Mobile to create recipes (which is most of the time), I use the sliders as a visual guide for how the recipe is tracking compared to the classic style. I presume that this is the designed purpose for the sliders. It's kind of annoying to have to exit edit view to get an idea of how FG is tracking.
With respect to the improving the useability of the already excellent BSM, adding an FG slider would be another great step forward. Does anyone else agree?
