Timer not audible in Mac OS 10.9

I'm running BeerSmith v 2.2.12 on a mac running OS 10.9.5. None of the timers (mash & boil) produce an audible alarm / sound. Is this feature broke or is there a setting somewhere to set that preference?

I'm also having this exact problem. Is there a way to turn the alarm on/off?, or is it just broken?

I have the same problem. Booth with the iphone app and with the mac os app.

On the iphone/ipad the sound only sounds when the iphone/ipad is with the screen off.

On the mac i havent heard any sound yet.

  Drop me an email if you have problems.

  On the mobile version make sure you have notifications turned on for the BeerSmith app in the Settings->Notifications under IOS.
