Other plans cancelled. Brew day tomorrow.!
Brewing English Strong Bitter. I've always used White Labs London Ale WLP013 on a starter. OG 1.058
Can y'all give me a dry yeast alternative?
Perhaps 2 packs of Safale-04?
Thanks

I like the SafAle 04. Nice and dry. I also like the Nottingham dry as well.
If you can still get liquid, the WLP-005 and 007 are solid workhorses.

Wyeast 1469 is the best I've used with my English bitters.

I tried WLP041 Pacific Ale yeast in my last English ale and I liked it a lot. It doesn't finish quite as dry as WLP007 but it does have a very rounded, malty profile. It's a bit slower fermenting than most yeasts but it's worth the wait.

S-04 and Windsor, with Windsor being much fruitier than S-04.

The 04 is humming along beautifully. Such a tall rich krausen is a sight to behold.....
