Forum Titles
« on: December 10, 2014, 08:06:20 PM »
Hi there.  I was just wondering how certain individuals achieve certain titles on the forum?  Example, Grand Master Brewer.  The main reason I’m asking is because sometimes I tend to shy away from using forums, because I don't know if the answers can be trusted.  But understanding this would help significantly with that.

Post count is all. A better indicator here might be karma. That is a count of post "likes" . I

As you can see, I am a "Master Brewer."  This clearly means there is nothing about beer I don't know.  ::)

Oh... allright... truth be told, as Tom says, that title  is only related to post count. Nothing else.
I'm constantly scouring the forum for knowledge.

"Karma" is a better indicator of the general nature of a posters bullsh*t factor. A negative karma = scrutinize what that person says....
