I know this is a daft question, but I'm new to this.

When reading a recipe and you have hop addition times like this:

Bravo (60min)
Magnum (5)

Do you take it that the bravo goes in right at the start of the boil and the magnum goes in with 5 minutes left to go in the boil.
Or is it that cascade goes in after 5 minutes bravo goes in after 60 mins?

Normally that is the boil time. So hops 60 means boil for an hour and hops 5 means just the last 5 minutes.

When it comes to additions during the boil, think of the boil time as a count down.  A 60-minute boil starts at 60 and counts down from there.  Additions are stated as time remaining in the boil.
