Profiles and Recipes Missing

As the title suggests my profiles and recipes are missing form beersmith 2.

I can see them in documents/beersmith 2 and can open them individually by the open command but they are not showing up in beersmith as default. Beersmith 2 looks like a new install. Any ideas how to correct this?

To add to the above. All settings are lost in BS2 and it is as if BS2 is a complete new install. I have manually added the recipes by opening the files from the BS2 folder in documents. This has added most things but the inventory is not there.
Some of the files I can not open e.g. Custfields, Tools, cloudsearchsettings, etc. Below is the error message I get when trying to open these files
