How much can I fit in my 8 gal (30 liter) kettle?
« on: July 08, 2015, 11:27:15 AM »
On my second BIAB so thanks for checking out this post.

I have a 8 gal (30 Liter)Bayou Classic kettle.  What's the biggest & reasonable grain bill I can stuff in there for an effective BIAB brew?  Don't want to look at recipes I can't fit in there.

Thanks!

Hi
I'm no expert and in need of help too but I have a 30l pot and I put about 25l in it and use about 4kg - 5kg grain and it's almost overflowing.
I'm using recipe for 5 gallon batches and have been topping up when filling the fermenter.
I'm thinking my beer might be light on alcohol but it tastes fine :)
