Searching for recipes

Greetings All,

I'm getting ready to brew my 1st all grain beer and take a step up from my 1 gallon batches to 5 gallons. I've been looking around at different sites and using the beersmith app as resources. I'm surprised to find that the recipes on the beersmith app are old with little or no ratings. Is this normal? I just expected to see new recipes with people who had tried it and rated it. Then I found this forum with newer recipes with discussions which is what I expected to see on the beersmith app. 

Why aren't recipes on the app rated?
