So this guy I know (me) brewed a session IPA yesterday and he forgot to add a clarifier in the boil. He realized this as he started to cool an transfer the wort into my hydrometer jar. My question is, is there anything I can do to save it?

It will be fine. The worst thing that could happen is the beer won't be perfectly clear.  If that bothers you use an opaque mug.  ;)

I want it clear so I think I'll try the gelatin method in a couple of weeks. I've also read that biofine will work.

I've used gelatin a couple of times (albeit in addition to Whirlflock/Irish moss) and been underwhelmed by the result. Holding it in the fermentor for an additional week, especially if you can cold crash it, is better.

I found that using Polyclar in the secondary had the biggest effect. I used gelatin at bottling. Between the two, the beers would clear quickly. However, if I dry hopped, then additional Polyclar seemed to always be needed.

These days, I use a product called Biofine Clear. The dosage rate is 0.25 to 1 ml/L and I tend to use around 0.7 ml/L for most beers. If you like to avoid animal based products, this is the one to use. There are other Biofine products that are based on Isinglass (P019), so be sure to double check which one you're buying. I don't know how available it is everywhere, but Northern Brewer and MoreBeer carry it.
