Morning everyone.
Looking to try my hand at cold pressing a stout.
I have the basic idea, but was wondering if there was anything different regarding the use of hops or grain quantity.
basic recipe is 12lbs grain with 4lbs being divided between black patent, chocolate, crystal 120, roast barley and .25lb smoke.
The rest is 2 row.
I am interested to see if this process will smooth out the bitter bite I get from dark grain steep and 60 minute boil.
Any professors of the press out there?
