Hey guys and girls,

I am trying to replicate a recipe from Beersmith (Dibbs Honey Cream Ale 2) and it calls for 0.42 grams of Gambrinus Honey Malt and I have not been able to find a supplier in Australia (I have found a few recipes that call for it so I wouldn't mind finding a source!!!). I have read in a few discussions that people have replaced it with Weyermann melanoidin malt. What do you guys and girls think??

Has anyone tried to import Gambrinus Honey Malt in to Australia? If so how did it go?

Here's a discussion of honey malt:    http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=46285

Please check the quantity in that recipe. The version I found on BeerSmith called for 12 oz (~342 g).

I ended up buying a pounds worth via ebay, will see if it gets thru.
