Can't connect to cloud

Is the cloud service down?  I am getting a mysql_connect() php socket error when I try to connect to the cloud service and am getting similar errors when trying to reset my password or perform other actions on the website.  Can anyone else connect to the cloud now?  I've been passing the initial security challenge successfully for a couple of years until this morning.  Is there a way to ping the status of the cloud server?

The error has changed to "Server is in maintenance mode".  I guess I'll just give it time?
