Lauter Tun Deadspace Calculation?

Would you add the MT and HLT together?  Or?  I have two 10 gal coolers, each with 0.5 gal deadspace.

No. Your total HLT water is found in the Vols tab.

Mashtun deadspace should be unrecoverable wort. If you collect it during sparge, then it's just more water added to your mash. BeerSmith makes it easier by clicking the "Adjust Mash Vol..." box for mashing in, then unclick it for sparge. 

OK, got it.  Played around with the mash, sparge and tun deadspace volumes along with the "adjust mash volume for deadspace" and see how it the software works out the math.  Thanks!
