Getting these errors after Upgrade to 2.3.6

It sounds to me like the previous use of the 2.2 version wasn't - for whatever reason - closed out properly.  Reading the errors, your data file is locked and that is typically because it is stil open.  However, not in the "software open" sense.  But rather in the "object open" sense.  Correcting this issue can be tricky, so ill leave the recommendations to a more computer savvy person.  But the solution MAY require a uninstall and reinstall with some additional tasks in the middle.  Good luck!
 
I would certainly check the file permissions on the listed files.  It appears that the program can't write to those backup files (they are backups) and that's why you are seeing the error.

Another user reported this being caused by his antivirus software.  The new update is not "trusted" yet so the antivirus software was preventing it from writing.  Once he moved it to the "trusted" category in the antivirus software it corrected this bug as the program could then write to the files as it should.
