It sounds to me like the previous use of the 2.2 version wasn't - for whatever reason - closed out properly. Reading the errors, your data file is locked and that is typically because it is stil open. However, not in the "software open" sense. But rather in the "object open" sense. Correcting this issue can be tricky, so ill leave the recommendations to a more computer savvy person. But the solution MAY require a uninstall and reinstall with some additional tasks in the middle.
