The question driving everyone Hoppy
« on: April 16, 2008, 10:22:13 AM »
Im just curious.
A long time ago way back in history, when all there was to drink was nothing but cups of tea, along came a man by the name Charlie Mops and he invented a wounderfull drink and he made it out of hops. He ought to be Admiral, a Sultoun, or a King, and to his prasies we shall alwas sing.

Plugs suit my system better, I have a stainless steel screen in the bottom of my boiler and pellets tend to block it.
Plus the plugs are easier to store than flowers.

Cheers

I tend to use pellets - they store well and they are easy to get.

I use the plugs I think they have a hoppier flavor

I like whole hops but when you need to use 14 oz per 5 gallon batch they just don't work.  They settled out to occupy 1/3 of my boil kettle.  So unless I'm using just 2-3 oz I stick with pellets.

Pellets until its time to dry-hop, then whole or plugs.
