How to mark volume in bolier?

B

Last year I purchased a used 20 gallon stainless pot.  Any advice on marking volumes on inside of pot?

Does anyone have a link that shows pics of simple all grain equipment setup?

Hi,
Most people I know either purchase a dowel or a big spoon and cut notches in it corresponding to the volume of their pot.  It works well!

I agree with Brad, I use a piece of aluminium angle about 3ft long. I've marked this with a dremel in 2 lt increments.

I use my wood mash paddle,  notched in 1 gal increments with a dremel.

I took a Nail Set Punch and marked the inside of the pot. Add volume of water to the pot take a hammer and the punch make a mark, add more water etc. Then I marked the outside of the pot with a permanent marker.

Cheers
