I discovered through prolonged experimentation and many protypes that you cannot drive a fly sparge arm using the pressure of the sparge water.  No matter how light the equipment the flow required is too great and sparging time subsequently shortened too much.  here is my solution...

If you can improve on it for ?30 or less please post so i can build one.

I agree with rotating sparge arms just do not work with the low pressure needed to properly rinse the grains. I built one and tossed it for a simple non-moving copper circle that sits on top of the grain. Even if it's an electric rotating arm it's not worth the cleaning and cost vs. just a tube on top of the grains.

Rotating sparge arms do have a "cool" factor though.
