Hello all,

I have a question about doing two 100 litre brews back to back and fermenting them in the same 200 litre fermentation tank and pitching the yeast after the second batch was added.

Is there any reason not to do this?  I would estimate that the second batch would be ready for the fermenter about 4 hours after the first.

Many thanks in advance.

Paul

You would be taking a chance with contamination. But if you are careful, it should work just fine. Just make sure to keep the outside air away if possible

Hi Billy,

Thanks for the super fast reply  :)

That was my one real worry.  The fermenter has a sealed lid and I could run the silicon tube from the cooler through the airlock hole and keep that in place for the second brew.  I'll try and give that a go.

Cheers
Paul
