How do I account for extra wort on brewday? I wound up with 6Gal of wort but only ran 5.5G into the fermenter.  What's the best way to account for this and the total fermentables in the fermenter and calculate efficiency best?  I increased the batch size to 5.75 to split the difference. Is there a way to account for either kettle deadspace or discarded wort?

Thanks

You'd enter that as loss to trub and chiller in the equipment profile. I assume you have set up an equipment profile. If not, you really should. Here's a helpful link: http://beersmith.com/equipment-setup/
