Hi, Brad. I think there's a bug in Version 3.0.8 of BS3 when you add yeast on the Starter tab. I'm running the software on macOS Version 10.12.6.
? Click on the Starter tab for a recipe. There are is no items in the list.
? Click Add Yeast
? Select the desired yeast in the list
? At the bottom of the dialog change the Package Date from the default 2/24/2011 to 4/11/2018
? Click OK
? Note that the yeast is added to the list but the package date is set to the current date (6/24/2018 in my case)
? Click Edit
? Change the Package Date to 4/11/2018
? Click OK
? Now the package date is set properly
In addition to logging this bug, I wanted to ask why the default Package Date is set so far in the past (2/24/2011)? Wouldn't something later (even the current date) make more sense?
