Direct printouts does not work with my printer, so like for V2 I use the option "Send printouts to default browser/text viewer". But when printing, the browser tries to load a URL like this http://c/Users/janer/Google%20Drive/Hobby/Beer/Enkle_Menn/BeerSmith/Reports/bsxtmp_18777.htm and returns "This site can't be reached"

If I manually pick up file:///C:/Users/janer/Google%20Drive/Hobby/Beer/Enkle_Menn/BeerSmith/Reports/bsxtmp_18777.htm in the browser, it works as expected.

This is on Window 10, using Google Chrome. Anyone else get this?

The invalid URL problem was not Chrome specific, it happened to all the 5 browsers I have installed.

Very quiet here, so I try asking the opposite question:

Has anyone tried printing using the "Send printouts to default browser/text viewer" without experiencing this invalid URL problem?

It works just fine for me. If I check the box I see the report in my default browser. The URL is file://... The problem you are having is because the URL starts with http://... and your browser looks on the internet for the URL instead of on your local disk. I don't know how that happens.

Thanks. Sounds like this is something that may be tied to my system then. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but that did not help.

I may have nailed it. I am now guessing that the problem is a space in the path to the Document Directory. I tried temporarily switching to a path without spaces, and then it seems to work as expected.
