Hi All.
I brew with a Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil in 5 gallon batches.
I am interested in brewing a strawberry milkshake IPA and have seen several different recipes/methods.
Most call for a lactose addition and roughly 5 lbs of pureed strawberries.
Has anyone brewed one of these with decent success?
A few recipes require bringing the lactose, strawberries and about 10 ounces of fermenting wort up to about 170 degrees F for roughly 20 minutes then adding around day 5.
Should this be cooled before adding?
Just looking for any tips or advice.
Thanx!! Mark
