In my Mash Profile I have it set to use Equal Batch Sizes for my sparge volumes.

But when I look at the Brew Steps it says Batch Sparge with 2 Steps.  But it shows 2 different sparge volumes.

I'm not sure where to configure it to use equal size sparge volumes.

TIA
Bob

Not a lot to go on, but I would suspect that in your mash profile you have the box for 'drain mash tun before sparging' unchecked.  When you do this, the first volume is the water needed to top off the mash tun. The program then expects that the user will then drain the mash tun and add the remaining mash water.  If this is not the case, export a recipe which shows this issue as a .bsmx file so we can see just how the sparge is being split.

Yep that was it...

So which is better?
Drain the mash tun or sparge with 2 different volumes of sparge water?

Thanks
Bob

Perfect
Just what I needed to know.

Thanks so much for all your help.
