Is it possible to add DME to the Design tab of a recipe but to mark the Use In option as "Starter"? This way I could add it to the ingredients, but not have it count towards the fermentables. I've checked the option for Not Fermentable, but it still increases the OG and ABV until I set the Potential to 1.000.

I decant my starter before pitching so there is slim to nil fermentables making it into the fermenter.

I usually don't track the DME that I use for starters, as it is usually for growing enough yeast cells to split the starter for more than one batch.  If I were to record the DME for cost or planning purposes, then I would make a 'misc' item for the DME so that the inclusion does not affect the rest of the recipe.
