Beer colour

Hello, if you had to compare a couple of recipes and the colour of each of them is say 12 SRM. Does that mean those beers will look the same?

Not really. The SRM is basically the darkeness, or how much white light is absorbed when passing through, but it doesn't tell you which specific colors are being absorbed. You could have a very red beer with the same SRM as a brown beer and they would not look the same at all.
