Some help please...

Why am I getting two very different bitterness calculation values using the recipe calculator and the Hop Bitterness calculator? The recipe gives me 12.7IBU and the specific calculator 42.3IBU.

I reckon the specific calculator is correct and the recipe one could be wrong.

Any suggestions on fixing the recipe calculation?

Thanks, Rob

Is the recipe a full boil? From the screen shot, it looks like it's 3.xx liters?

Max wort saturation is about 100 IBU. In a partial boil, this is reduced by the same portion of dilution to get your full batch volume.

You need to enter the same pre boil volume in the hop bitterness calculator as you did in the recipe.
