Using RO water and Beersmith 3, I have a simple recipe with a single mash of Maris Otter. I have matched my water profile to Dry Pale Ale and the salts are calculated by BS3. The unadjusted pH comes out at 5.00 but I would like 5.30.
BS3 doesn't appear to calculate the additions to adjust the pH so to get the pH up I have to adjust the amount of baking soda manually. Is this the correct way to do this or should BS3 calculate this for me?

I also like potassium bicarbonate - add a tsp or two at a time until you reach your pH target.
