can somebody tell from her/his experience about clove adding: how much, how long, when etc.  ??? thanks
 
I have never added cloves to beer. I do know that they are a POWERFUL spice! So if I were to add it, I would be ultra conservative on the amount.

I just brewed a batch of whet beer and added some clove: 20gr. for 60 min. (for spaice) + 20 gr for the last 15 min (for flavor). In 3 weeks I'll be able to report.
 
Did you taste it before you pitched the yeast? If so how did it taste? Also, does it smell of cloves during the fermentation?

Just trying to get an idea.
