yeast storage

Dr Hop

Does anyone know if you can store yeast from a previous brew in order to reuse it at another time?

Can it be frozen?

I found a great tip on the AHA site.  Essentially you can store it in ziplocks since they ship sanitized.  Then when it is time to pitch (to wort or starter) you sanitize a corner and scissors, clip the corner and squirt the yeast in-NO Cleanup!

I haven't tried, but it seems viable and like a great way to help save time and fridge space.

Here is a number of resources I have used.  It takes time, but if you brew often and tend to use the same yeast strain it is a good money saver.
