I'm doing a cream ale for my wife (she enjoys drinking beer but wants something lighter to have around) and I want to make sure its got a little body to it. I my recipe I've got  0.25lb which is 3.33% in the grain bill. Is that enough to make a difference ?  The SG range is 1.042 - 1.055  .... Or would i just be better pushing the SG range up near the maximum.

I'm doing a partial mash version of the NorthenBrewer Cream ale kit recipe

Thanks

My first brew was a cream ale and it included 0.5lb of carapils.  It was very nice.  I did cut the hops in half.  The recipe called for 2oz of Cascade ( 7.5% ) which was an ibu of about 40 something.  I cut it back to 18 and everyone enjoyed it.

I'd think .25lb would be just about right for a 5gal batch of blond.

Thanks gents

one for .5lb    one for .25lb

I'll shmoo that to .38lb

As to IBUs    should be between 12 - 18  -- I'm using 1oz of MtHood
