Fining Agents

I've been making home made wine for years and have attempted my first batch of home brew beer.  Am curious about methods to clarify the beer I just fermented.  For wine I have used bentonite as a clarifying agent.  It does everything in wine that the clarifying agents I've studied for beer making are supposed to do.  So am curious if anyone has tried to clarify beer using bentonite.  I'd like to stick with it if possible since I already plenty bentonite on hand.

Never used it, but seen it listed as an option, like PolyClar or gelatin.  Google those terms with home brew and you'll likely find proper amounts to use.  Funny, cuz I have bentonite in the pantry and sometimes drink it.  Supposed to pull toxins from the body.
