Hello Beer Smith Community,
I have a question for everyone about the Water Profiles located under "Tools" in Beer Smith. I am wanting to replicate a water source (the "Target") that has very low SO4, but a bit of Mg and Cl. Epsom Salts would contibute too much SO4, so I am going to use nigari, which is basically food-grade MgCl2 (Magnesium Chloride). My version of Beer Smith does not give me a Magnesium Chloride option under "Additions," which means that I am unable to use the software to calculate how many grams of MgCl2 yields how many ppm of both Mg and Cl. Can anyone provide me with me the numbers (# gm = # ppm) for MgCl2 so that I can figure it out by hand?
Thanks for for any info you can provide to me.
Scott
