What is the best practice for entering a recipe as a percentage (%) ?

Hi,
Currently I recommend adding percentages by entering whole amounts of grains (such as 8.5 lbs for 85%) into a new recipe, then use the Adjust Gravity function to scale the grains all back down to match your target gravity (which will leave the percentages the same).

The new version will have a separate tool to enter percentage amounts.

I like this method too.  I recently got a recipe from a brewer in all percentages.  I was tweeking numbers until it dawned on me to just got with the percent in lbs as Brad advised.  A few iterations of using the adjust gravity tool and I have the breakdown I was looking for.

I then went on to normalize the grain amounts (I prefer round numbers so .72 became .7) and had my recipe in a matter of minutes.
