This might sound absurd, but I wast thinking... how realistic could it be for beer smith to link to local home brew supply shops that could update with current grain prices.  This would allow brewers to compare prices and also determine total cost of each brew session.  I know this migh be difficult, as it would depend on the brew shop updating their prices, but if developed could be very useful. 

Another alternative to grain/hop prices could be that the brew shop releases a quarterly or monthly spread sheet that would have their grain prices, that could be incorporated into BS.

Outstanding way of getting some tie-in with the bigger home brewing sites (morebeer, northern, midwest, etc...).  Of course they may not want the transparency of having their prices compared in relative real-time.  but perhaps one of them would consider a exclusive relationship with Beersmith...
