Love the new layout and options.

On the yeast start tab (in the recipe) what should I set the value for stir plate if I shake my starer. Is half the default value a good guess.

Shaking has to create more cells than doing nothing to the starter.

Thanks,
Barry

Hi,
What I recommend doing is to click the "stir plate" box but then go into the Options->Yeast Starter tab and set the "stir plate factor" which represents the growth multiple when using a stir plate to a smaller number.

That way you can account for shaking - which won't be as efficient as a stir plate.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Half the default growth factor is good for me. If anyone has a more accurate answer, let me know.
