Inventory/Recipe/Shopping List Problem
« on: June 23, 2011, 08:34:47 AM »

I have two quantities of Simcoe hops in my inventory.

.44oz. of 11.9%
6.0oz. of 12.4%

In my recipe, I chose the 12.4% Simcoe.

In the recipe view, it shows Simcoe [12.0%] but with an inventory of .44oz.

This amount also transfers over to the shopping list, showing that I am short on Simcoe.

Does Beersmith not see the different AA% as two different hops?

Thanks.

Hi,
Unfortunately it does not differentiate internally in the inventory tracking between these two.  You would need to change the name slightly to differentiate between them.

I've improved this in the next update which is coming this weekend (for example the inventory->recipe matching works much better), but it still has trouble in the shopping cart as I'm not currently storing the entire item as part of the shopping cart.

I've added this to my list to fix - I need to store a complete copy of the item in the shopping cart to get an exact match in cases like this.
