I was shooting for 146 on dough-in and got 150.  How do I adjust this?

Fred,
Make sure your thermometer is on target (see the other question you asked) first.  It sounds like it may be reading a little on the high side.

Assuming it is on target, you can adjust the thermal properties of your mash tun slightly to "tweak" it to match your equipment setup.  I would recommend adjusting the "Mash Tun Specific Heat" parameter down slightly.  This will reduce the equipment adjustment needed.  This number appears in the "Equipment" profile.

Cheers!

A little calculator so you can figure the specific number out for your system from accurately measured results would be nice.

Fred,
Another very good idea - I could probably reverse the calculation to get the number.   I will add it to my "to do" list.

Cheers!
