Undo / Redo support during notes editing

When entering notes for a recipe the undo feature (CTRL+Z) seems to work to a degree where it will back out (but by a significant amount of text) but the redo feature (CTRL+Y) does not.  Meaning if I undo something and I made a mistake and want to redo it, I'm out of luck and I need to remember and retype everything.  Since the undo takes out a lot of text (more than I would initially think) I many times want to redo, but by then I'm stuck...

On a related issue with notes editing, Ctrl-A doesn't work. Ctrl-A should select all of the text in the field for Copy or deletion ...
