I recently moved to Tarpon Springs, Fl. and will be brewing all grain beers. Has anyone used the water supply from Pinellas  County, Fl, tested it and found good or bad results, Thanks Ken

My 2 cents,
Very beer I make I use a water profile EZ cala,or Beersmith water profile tools ,and start with RO or DI, the reason being the water that either the city makes, it is to hard more most beers anyway.
I found out by making many batches of beer that ,it is best
If you get Beer Captured Book it has all the water styles for the Beer Styles being brewed on page 177
Really easy to do you put the PPm and just enter the data and it gives you the amounts need in GRAMS
I do 10 gallons batches so I set up for a 13 gallon amounts that wat i always have enough strike water on hand to hit my mash target, after mash in I add the total amount of water volume to make my per boil volume
hope this helps

With the various sources down then, I recommend you get your specific water tested.

My water in Delray Beach was brown with sulfur.  (We used a filter on our shower, and made our own distilled it was so bad.)

www.wardlab.com will tell you all about your water for $17.

Hey Ken,

I just moved to Tarpon Springs as well.

Found this:

I'm kinda new to all grain brewing but started in NY where the water was amazing. Are you doing any brew clubs around the area?

Fishnken,

I live in Holiday (a couple miles north of TS) and I just use a carbon filter that I attach to my garden hose.  I've brewed about five batches so far with this filter and haven't had any issues.

Floppydu,

What's up man?!  Chuck Reiter here.  Back in FL I see.  You guys should check out the Dunedin Brewers Guild.  Bunch of good peeps.  http://www.dunedinbrewersguild.com/  or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DBGuild

Lates,
