Adding "equipment" to Inventory

is there a way to add an 'equipment' file to the inventory to include caps, o-rings, tubing and other things that could be added to the shopping list or tracked through usage to remind me I need to get more?
or do I just have to include all these things in Miscellaneous Ingredients? (not preferred)
