I'm starting to culture my own yeasts and bank them in the freezer. Is anybody using BeerSmith to manage yeast culture inventory?
I'm wondering if anyone has any best practices or learned lessons to pass along. What works, what doesn't...
I'm thinking that I'll have a separate inventory for each generation on-hand, and use the "times cultured" field to track the qty available per generation. The only problem is that on the inventory view, you can't customize the columns. So, I can't view the "times cultured" field. I guess I'll have to add "gen1", "gen2" or something to the name.
