If when I transfer my wort to the boil kettle, and Beersmith says my pre-boil volume should be 12.92 gallons but it's only 11 gallons (example) should I add water to my boil kettle to reach the desired 12.92 gallon volume?  I'm guessing yes, I just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong.

Cheers!

Sure can.  Stir it good and take a gravity reading to make sure preboil gravity is close to what BS says it should be.  If it's low you may need to add DME.
